A light-hearted, but tender story of Rathfriland woman Catherine Shubert O’Hare, who left home on a famine coffin ship in 1850, to work as a housekeeper in America, and of her pioneering journey across the Rockies during the goldrush, which made her a celebrated figure in Canadian culture & folklore to this day.
Rathfriland players received both the Adjudicator’s Award and the Audience’s Award for their performance of Little Hills in Lislea Drama Festival 2024, and we are delighted, due to great demand, to welcome them back again.
Tickets are on sale from TicketSource https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/lislea-community-association/little-hills-by-john-shannon/2024-10-05/20:00/t-xmqdqlp at £10, which includes tea & biscuits at the interval, and an extended music session with the plays’ accompanying band ‘Whiskey Before Breakfast’ after the performance, do not miss this great night!
